    Crinoid Calyx

    Thought some of you might enjoy seeing this crinoid calyx I prepped recently for a fellow collector:



    The guy has a whole box full of these in unprepped condition.

    That's awesome! I just looked them up...they were plant-like animals...weird! but awesome!

    With a name like that, I would have to look it up...
    And I would have to look twice before even picking it up...
    Awesome looking fossil,,, I think that would have to be the weirdest looking one I have ever seen...

    Way to go, Futzman. That is a great job. 90% of the work is in the preparation. That makes a museum quality piece. Thank you for sahring that.

    I used a Chicago Pneumatic Airscribe for most of the job. It took about 3 hours. I'm going to prep several more for him in exchange for getting to keep a couple
