Hey guys with all the shark teeth I have been finding in the creek I decided to build a new sifter. I saw alot of smaller teeth falling threw the 1/2" mesh, this new one has 1/4" mesh so maybe I will find a few more. What do you guys think?

What is the mesh material made of???? I never thought of using PVC, Made mine out of 2x4's, too heavy...Great idea... Looks nice, thanks for sharing...

the mesh is made of 1/4″fence material used for small animals, i guess. I got it at lowes home improvemet store, if you dont have one where you live any hardware store should have it. The pvc is 3/4″, although i guess you could use smaller, but the thickness acts as sides so the material doesn't just slide off.

That si a nice looking sifter, we have just been using a rectangular strainer from walmart, it doesn't float but it has been working well, I really like your idea so much better.
