    Is this a claw?

I found this a few years ago, in a creek. It sure looks like a claw, but i know geofacts can decieve. If it is a claw or talon, what did it belong too? Thanks for looking. Oh yeah, NE Oklahoma.

    Re: Is this a claw?

It certainly has the appearance of a claw; but, I think it must be a geofact or pseudofossil. Full claws are not preserved, only the bone claw core. Your find has the appearance of a full claw.

Well! those peudofossils will get you every time! Thanks Harry, I did wonder about the sheath material being able to last long enough to turn to fossil. It seemed like it wouldn't. apperciate the response.
