    Found this along a small creek, is this a plant or a tooth? Fossil? It feels like stone...

    It's a solitary, rugose coral from the Paleozoic.

    In addition to the horn coral already suggested, might be a portion (not complete) of a crinoid. Looks somewhat similar. I'm not an expert, though.
