    Florida Beach Fossil Identification ???

    Here is a beach fossil that I found today. I haven't found anything that looks like this before. It is an inch and a half across, concave on one side, convex on the other, and about 1/4 to 1/2 inch high.

    Here are three photos. Thanks for any help in identifying this.

    You've found half of a shark vertebral centrum.
