    Lance & Roz's Paleozoic Party

Today we headed to our special Paleozoic hiding spot that produces "Petrodus" shark denticles. We had permission to hunt on this ranch. The age here is about 305 million years old.

    The locality:

    "Petrodus" shark denticles:

Around 4pm as we are leaving we decided to drive around to another section of the property to hopefully find more gray shale with denticles. Instead we found an amazing area of multicolored sandstones filled with "Stigmaria" root casts !!

"Stigmaria" roots possibly belonging to the Paleozoic tree "Lepidodendron"

I finally found a "Shansiella" snail.
