    Round fossil id

    Is this a fish bone fossil? Or some kind of petrified plant such as a reed?

    Good job with the images!

    This appears to be a crinoid 'hash' - a plate of crinoid columnals. Many of the individual columnals appear to be deformed (no doubt by geological processes). Often, you can find disarticulated, but intact, columnal specimens. Those are known to children as "Indian beads."
