    Mammoth Milk Teeth

    I found these two in a deep crevice in a river bottom in North Florida.

    those are amazing! was it a bend in the river that caught them or maybe a sink hole? what made you decide to hunt there? I think I'd be looking for the rest of it.

    It was a relatively large and deep crevice in the limestone bottom, a natural trap for small fossils . . . and sand, lots of sand. Believe me, we excavated the entire length of it. There were other things in the crevice, but these teeth were the most notable.

    Wow, that is so cool! Im going to Florida this spring for vacation. I plan on spending a whole day looking for Meg teeth or whatever i can find, i could only hope to find something that cool! I've never been to Florida, i hope i find at least ONE cool thing while im there!
