Fossil???

This is a defined shell imprint in a light layered looking rock. I am no expert but could this be a fossil and if so how old could it be? Thanks.

It is indeed a small Brachiopod imprint. No way way to tell it's age from the given information.

fossil all wrapped up in a nice little package. Looks pretty convenient. Mine are usually small, but in huge chunks of rock that are awkward to carry around. Hope you go back & look for more.

Try using the Internet to search what formation is present in your part of Pennsylvania
