Got a few nice pieces like this today. This piece is about 8-10 pounds and is saturated with calcite. It looks like a beehive dripping honey, or a piece of raw honey comb. Its a nice piece for sure, it glistens in the sun like a sugar coated donut from all the crystallization !! photo-534.JPG

Cleaning up a 20 pound piece now. Working a rock pile where the county is digging a new water main.

Some pieces of this fossilized star coral get so saturated with calcite that they become translucent. photo-540.JPG
