I found this along the shore of one of the glacial Finger Lakes in Upstate NY. Heavy for its size- almost unremarkable except for the crisp tricuspid marking on it. Is this a fossilized seed of some sort? I have seen pics of septarian nodules which are similar but not the same. Any advice welcomed!
