I have this strange item that came from a rock wall in my yard constructed in the 1930's. The wall is constructed of petrified wood, quartz, and others that I am trying to identify. The cement in the wall is crumbling and releasing these rocks. This particular one caught my eye because of the unique shape and color. To me it looks like an egg because of the rounded end. Does anyone know what this is? DSCF5565.JPG DSCF5568.JPG DSCF5563.JPG DSCF5566.JPG DSCF5567.JPG DSCF5564.JPG DSCF5562.JPG DSCF5557.JPG

Looks like wood to me. The annular rings are quite evident. Nice specimen!!
