Unknown native American stone object or tool please help

Hello I have found this in new york state close to Watkins Glen and need help identifying it I did find fossils there that were confirmed by a professor but this is different it looks as if it was carverd at the end
and rounded to make a round shape.

The North American Native American Forum folks can tell you what you got if you post it there.....but to me it looks like some worn surface area common to hammerstone or pecking stones.
