Many areas are good for hunting fossils. You don't say if you want to just walk-in or use a boat. Kayaks/canoes are great. You must have a state permit, unless you go with an authorized group. If it is your first time there, a group tour is good. ! You CANNOT keep artifacts ! Focus around the many turns in the river & where creeks enter it. Thompson Branch & Alligator Branch entering Peace River are 2 areas. Best to go in Winter where there are less " critters." Blow up the map ;

Thanks guys, appreciate the help. I'll get with the florida group. We have a state park close to me we get shark teeth from but no megs and that's what I want!

Also look in areas that have higher banks where the fossils will wash out & fall into the river,.
