I am planning a trip to the Peace River in Florida. Gonna try to do some tooth hunting. If anyone knows of any good areas open to tooth hunting let me know. Dont really want to do the tourist areas with everyone else. Thanks!
Many areas are good for hunting fossils. You don't say if you want to just walk-in or use a boat. Kayaks/canoes are great. You must have a state permit, unless you go with an authorized group. If it is your first time there, a group tour is good. ! You CANNOT keep artifacts ! Focus around the many turns in the river & where creeks enter it. Thompson Branch & Alligator Branch entering Peace River are 2 areas. Best to go in Winter where there are less " critters." Blow up the map ;
Thanks guys, appreciate the help. I'll get with the florida group. We have a state park close to me we get shark teeth from but no megs and that's what I want!
