I was a child hiking through the dense pine forest off the coast of the Pacific Northwest: the island called vashon. I noticed this unique brain looking object half buried beneath sediment. There is a small raised four digit imprint smack dab in the middle. Any idea what species this might be? 01926754-7333-4E9F-8C30-6DBB13A8BCC7.jpeg CA728C67-9A6D-44B7-97CB-6414056F3437.jpeg 68AEA3FB-5FE0-4BF4-9006-264F69538147.jpeg BA447FBC-831C-4CF2-AED2-E35278438347.jpeg

Hmmm. Your geography is a little skewed, as well as the tree species found in the Puget Sound area. I also don't think coprolite or dino footprints would survive grinding along under a glacier, which is what Vashon Island is...glacial till.
