Hunted last Friday, most of the day yesterday & about 4 hrs. this PM.
The "touch-mark" on the center triangle appears to be "JM". ( It"s upside down)
Got 23 pieces including cut scraps.
Also pictured is a small brass pendant with a blue stone.
Got alot of other stuff too & may post it later.

That stuff is just BEAUTIFUL, Dale! After reading all your posts and looking at all the pictures of the stuff you find, my daughter is "enthralled" with the Fur Trade era and the French & Indian War! We bought a book called "Competitive Struggle-America's Western Trading Posts" that she is reading right now. Your posts make this era come alive ~~~kind regards, sandcreek4

Re: Part of my Trade Silver from the last few days.
Awesome finds, with that many coins and silver it should have been quite a busy area back in that time. Have any info on what was going on there? Dates? Just from what you have posted and the area I would guess it's a late historical period site, 1770 - 1820? Just a guess.
Keep working it and love the pics.

You sure know your Fur Trade!
You're "spot-on" with the dates! This was an Indian village approx. 1765-1820.
Thanx, Grignon! Dale
