    All bent out of shape

I found this near a historic Indian site on a local riverbank. Looks like it MAY have once been a brass/copper trade bracelet, based on reference pics I've seen (yea or nay, anyone?). Anyway, it is bent into an open C shape. I cut a pipe cleaner to the same length and it makes a pretty nice bracelet... fits me pretty well.
Now I'm wondering if I should bend the metal into a bracelet shape or leave it as it is. Has anyone ever seen a warped, "killed," or re-purposed trade bracelet?

Re: All bent out of shape

If I had found that .. I would have called it a "bracelet Pre-Form" I have found them in some odd shapes .. but they always had some kind of markings on them or were in the "C" shape ..... the brass or copper rod seem to have come from the support rims or handles of a copper trade pots.
    Best Regards
    Bob
