Super great Finds!
Yeah, you might have found a trail,
I'd stick with that trend, and see if anymore can be found,
next time you're out there...!

Ya Im still in shock, that wasn't all though, 2 undamaged axe heads and some musket balls as well. It took a lot of research and figuring to find this location but it is paying off! image.jpg

Wow. Thats quite the spot you have going on there. There must be a camp near by there somewhere. It does not get mucb better than that. Huge congrats. Is that a broach or locket that opens? Maybe for a horse bridal?. Any MMs on the axes?

That is a really significant find; are you going to research the area or any old trade routes in the area?

Cool. I have found trade rings scattered in line from plowing in the past. But your axe heads don"t show plowing/discing hits, so dunno ?

Sorry on the late reply.
I'm pretty sure it is " W JOHNSTON" but it could also be " W JOHNSION" I can't confirm the T it looks like it could also be a I.

I have the matching axe head but the larger normal size with the makers mark in the same place/same size but unreadable.

The top center clear is a "nipple ring", for reasons quite apparent when you look at it closely. I have a few of those, kinda neat. Nice finds bud.
