    iron and things

    Hello Guys and Gals,

Can anyone help me identify some of these artifacts that are from a mid 1700's site?
The center object appears to be a worm for a small caliber cannon.
Going from top left clockwise, these rectangular pieces have me stumped. One still has a nail running through the center of it.
The next is obviously a hammer head but for what? Gun hammer, shoeing hammer?
The coin is a 1735 KGII halfpenny.
Next is an unidentifiable iron piece with a hole drilled through it.
The copper/brass object, bottom center I am guessing may be a ramrod pipe?
I'm pretty sure the piece on to the left is a sling swivel for a musket.
And of course a one ounce ball and a trade ball.
But please your input on the rectangular iron top left.

    Thanks, CAP

Pure guess but maybe the rectangle pieces are strapping to brace upright poles. I have seen larger ones around stone upright broken pillars. These, of course are smaller. I am curious about a similar piece to yours that I found.Click image for larger version.

that brass piece that I found is very thin guage and may have a seam down the middle like it was rolled.

    Perhaps...

The little hammer looks like a tack or toy hammer, and the rectangular iron pieces may be ferrules from the wooden frame of a buggy shade?

Yes, that is definitely a sling swivel for a musket, nice find.
