I found this very corroded thin piece of brass (or copper) item that has asymmetric scalloped edges. It was found along a river that had fishing camps (1880-1910). I thought it might have come from a watch (timepiece). Yet the surface is bowed (concave). If it is some type of gearing, it doesn’t seem to have marks for tightening it to the device. And the bowed surface seems to be the result of a center "hole punching" action. Native Americans frequented the area and often "traded" with early settlers. Could this be a trade item that was clipped and punched for tribal wear?
