I found this ring on a small beach in front of a cliff on a river in Maryland well known for Indians and the British came up here to attack few times. Even George Washington was in this part of river a lot history books says. I found these items very deep and on a tiny Secluded beach no one walks on. The ring looks hand carved and made from copper Mabe and the button not sure what it is made from but the shank is copper. If any one can identify these please do so. 985CC2E0-3450-4121-80DE-E6F6ACFD3D49.jpeg

It is a heart shaped trade ring that you found,a very nice one I must say, please look at my post to compare to mine ...it's a unique one also,Ive never seen one with the wide shaped band towards the front with markings also...heart shaped are harder to find but not uncommon,...there r 2 types embossed or stamped & yours engraved or etched...some say the engraved are later say 1700's ,this is not true, mine date to 1650 and are engraved....also they aren't made of copper,...they are a mixed alloy,..some brass,copper,tin,etc.... sometimesvrefered to as gunmetal.....nice ring!.....if you found it below a cliff is the emmenence a village site,...I think I'd be checking that out .....goodluck
