AND THE WINNERS ARE......................
**PRIZES ***CAN YOU GUESS THE MAGIC NUMBER ?***PRIZES**************
***UPDATE: Find my big hint below posted on 5/12***
O.K. Folks, it's not much but I wanted to give away a few prizes and thank all of you here on TN for your support, help, and great information over the years.
You are all a great group and I'm proud to be a member of this great site.
This is a very easy contest, and you can use your fingers, toes, your families toes, an abacus, the Psychic Hotline, or a calculator.
I have taken TWENTY wheat pennies and added up the total of all the dates put together. (Example: 1921 + 1938 + 1956 = 5815)
All you have to do is post (not PM) your best guess of the total of all twenty wheat penny dates when added together.
The deadline to get your guess in will be Friday 5/15/09 6:00pm EST. *No guesses taken after this date/time.
UPDATE*** I WILL BE ENDING THE CONTEST TONIGHT (Wed.) 5/13/09 at 9:00pm EST.
PRIZES:
*North Carolina Civil War relics in a Ryker case*
*FOUR 1964 silver Washington quarters + TWO no date SLQ's.
*Digital Pocket Scale
*HOLEY COINS- Large Cent (1852?) , 1850 Half Dime , no date Half Real.
RULES:
*The closest guess (over or under) to the winning number wins first choice of prizes. Second closest gets second choice, etc. etc.
* ONE GUESS PER MEMBER. Please do not change your # once posted as I will be logging them in as they are posted.
*If two members have the same winning # then the first one to post gets first choice.
*Since I will be paying shipping costs, ONLY U.S. MEMBERS please. Sorry.
***EXTRA BONUS- If someone hits the magic number right on I will also send them a SILVER PEACE DOLLAR (common date but nice coin). This ONLY applies to the FIRST person to get the correct number right on.***
If I forgot anything (I'm getting old ) or if you have a question just ask.
Good luck to all of you, and thanks again for making TN such a great place to be.

Retry your math big guy. You know that 20 x 1900 = 38,000 , so it has to be higher than that, right.
I'm going to let you give it another shot CWH, because you've got spunk.
Don't shoot me folks, CWH is new and just a kid.

MM, it's you I'm worried about... not him! LOL
Wheaties were produced between 1909 and 1958, if my sources are correct.
So 1900 is out of the question.
OH WAIT, were there Indian Head wheatie pennies before 1909? If so, are you counting those or just the Lincolns?
