Bonus Question!! First right answer WINS!!!game over
I am throwing in this bonus question just for fun! THE PRIZE WILL BE A TRILOBITE FOSSIL.
Here is the question... In the very early stages of the creation of a metal detector, who used such a device to attemp to locate a bullet lodged in the chest of former president James Garfield in 1881?
Why was the attemp unsuccessful?
Both questions must be answered correctly to win. There's no time limit on this one. The first person to answer correctly wins. I will check daily. THANKS! SORRY NO PIC YET.

Re: Bonus Question!! First right answer WINS!!!
Answer:
Alexander Graham Bell with his assistant Tainter and Simon Newcomb used the detector. It was inconclusive because there was a hum no matter where the wand was placed on the president's body. They did not know that he had a coil spring mattress which was new at that time. If they moved the president, they could have saved his life. -Garbageman

Re: Bonus Question!! First right answer WINS!!!
Alexander Graham Bell used Simon Newcomb's detector... but the president was laying on a bed made of metal coils, which was rare for that time, giving a false signal for the bullet. Kinda like wet sand does for targets at the beach.

Yeah, I was working at the same time I was trying to type the answer...
It's easier to read T-Net while working, than actually reply to something.
Congrats garbageman!!
