Name the book/poem!
I'll type the first paragraph out of a book/poem and you will tell what the title of the book is.Or poem.
A few miles south of Soledad, the Salinas River drops in close to the hillside bank and runs deep and green. The water is warm too,for it has slipped twinkling over the yellow sands in the sunlight before reaching the narrow pool. On one side of the river the golden foothill slopes curve up to the strong and rocky Gabilan moutains, but on the valley side the water is lined with trees-willow fresh and green with every spring, carrying in their lower leaf junctures the debris of the winter's flooding;and sycamores with mottled, white, recumbent limbs and branches that arch over the pool. On the sandy bank under the trees the leaves lie deep and so crisp that a lizard makes a great slittering if he runs among them.Rabbits come out of the brush to sit on the sand in the evening, and the damp flats are covered with the night tracks of 'coons, and with the spread pads of dogs from the ranches, and with the split-wedge tracks of deer that come to drink in the dark.
If you guys need help ill type the back of the book, thanks!

Re: Name the book/poem!
This next one should be some what easy.
December 9,2005,12:55 p.m.
Janie Hannagan's math book slips from her fingers. She grips the edge of the table in the school library.Everything goes black and silent. She sighs and rests her head on the table.Tries to pull herself out of it,but fails miserably. She's too tired today.Too hungry. She really doesn't have time for this
And then.
The world is my hunting ground.

Re: Name the book/poem!
I know your looking these books up Jeep,lol... But here is a hard one..
When I think of the farm,I think of mud.Limning my husband's fingernails and encrusting the children's knees and hair. Sucking at my feet like a greedy newborn on the breast.Marching in boot-shaped patches across the plank floors of the house. There was no defeating it.The mud coated everything.I dreamed in brown.
The world is my hunting ground.
