Ok, so here we have it! The first CGC contest to show its gratitude to its great members and quality posts!
Below is a picture of gold nuggets.
With a spot price of $1,364.00 how much are the nuggets in the picture worth?
The closest guess to the nearest .00 of the actual melt value will win a neat little miner figurine similar to that in my avatar along with a little gold nugget!

For the contest, lets assume 100% purity and 31.1 grams per ounce.
Rules:
-1 guess per member, no aliases...they can be tracked
-Each guess/calculation must be different than previous ones
-closest guess to actual US cash value wins
-In order to compete in the contest you must be a valid forum member with a minimum of 3 quality posts/replies by the end of the contest. "spam and worthless posts do not count".

The contest will run for one full week. The winner will be announced at 5pm mountain time on Tuesday February 15th.
I know the curiosity is a killer, but hang in there.
