    'Nick the Greek'

I found a hard cover copy of the above book printed in 1969 at a church sale for .50. This guy Nick Dandalos was a legendary gambler and contemporary of guys like Arnold Rothstein. It should prove to be a very interesting read.... There are several hyperbolic stories about him most of which will hopefully be detailed here (and possibly debunked). An online search revealed the book is somewhat hard to find also which is an added bonus!

Being a gracious loser grows character, but I'm fine being a winner.

great score. i would love to read this book and may just have to hit hp some of the book sites tonight lol. Nick did alot of gambling with the likes of Doyle Brunson and Johnny Moss back in the days before gambling was cool lol. let me know what you think of it.

This book is proving to be every bit the great read I thought it would --- what a colorful character! I was surprised to learn that he operated out of my old hometown area Chicago and had dealings with Al Capone. I'm only about half way through and so far so good....
