    sterling silver military pin

I bought this military pin at a yard sale a few days ago for 50 cents. Does anyone know what era it would date to? The back reads N. S. Meyer, Inc., New York and Sterling.

They are either USAAF Enlisted Aircrew Wings (WWII) or USAF Enlisted Aircrew Wings (Still in use today). See pictures below for examples of both. Even the AF ones were made of silver.

    Re: sterling silver military pin

hes saying it was usaaf in ww2 --as in ----u s army air force *( it was part of the army)---after the war the usaf--- u s air force --became its own "branch" --these types of wings were used by both groups
