    Goodwill auction

Anyone shop on the Goodwill auction site? I truley feel that for a non profit organization to auction the good donations to the highest bidder is the wrong thing to do. It is not what Goodwill was suppose to be. Now I know why all I find in the goodwill store is the common stuff most people would toss out. The auction even charges handling fees along with extremely high shipping fees. Just another "non-profit" organization taking advantage of people. I now go to a place called Rerun junction where the handicap try to help you. Just as good stuff there, only cheaper, plus I know that when I buy an item it is going to those who need it. Everytime I go there I will buy something weather I need it or not. Goodwill can keep thier goodwill.

Rerun Junction is a local store that supports disabled. They have books, clothing, stuff that second hand stores sell, only cheaper and I know that the money goes to help pay the employees (who are the disabled). I have been there a couple of times and they try very hard to help, so I just tell the person helping me that I am looking for a good book. If they pull one off the self for me I will buy it.

    Re: Goodwill auction

I checked out the goodwill site and was going to bid when I saw the shipping fee's.

Good grief, I can move cross country cheaper.

It makes no sense to win a bid for 4 bucks and shipping is 26 bucks for a half ounce item.

It's a rip anyway you look at it.

I bid on a couple of items to check out the process and I was always out bid. Must have automatic bids set till they reach the max and we know that it would be more that one would want to pay, at least for me anyway.

That is exactly why I do not bid there. I visited there a few times in the past and just don't like the way they do business.

if there was a thumbs down icon it would be used here!

Goodwill auction site is a joke as far as i'm concerned. The prices some of those "junk" coins supposedly go for are out of this world and the next one too for that matter.
