found at yard sale can anybody tell me if these are silver

counterfeit copies of coins. they are made of tin. how do I know?, bought some thinking they were silver. OOPS!!!!!!!!!!!

delta 4000 / ace 250 - used BH and many others too
see if they stick to a magnet --if they do fakes (steel cored for weight with a coating overlay )--(real silver is NOT magnetic) -- if theyy pass the magnet test --check the weight on a scale -- post office has one to weight mail -- let me lnow the weight -- cheaper than silver metals weight much less ) most likely they are cheap chinese fakes ala "flea market specials"-- look good but are not worth squat fiscally

I don't think they are silver. I bought the same thing for a buck each at the Asian Festival a few weeks ago they were magnetic. I carry a magnet w/me to check all forgien coins when I'm out and about.
