Oh yea I remember this post now. I started reading it and wondeded why I had already made a comment.

This post reminded me also, when I was a deputy I found a case of dynamite in the front seat of an abandoned truck. I put it in the back of my unit and forgot about. Later the sheriff found out about it and yelled at me to take it to the local gold mine (we had a lot) and have them put it in their bunker.

Pennsylvanians are forbidden to own any real fireworks.
and even though 911 was 10 or so years ago I think ?
(didn't google it for this post :tongue3: )
it has been at least 3o years since I even saw
someone with a sense of freedom selling black cats in the open
at flea markets & yard sales.

these days people can't mind their own business.
If they were to see the word Explosives in the open
it wouldn't be long before State Police. Indiantown gap's bomb disposal,
3 news stations, & Homeland paranoids would be circling like vultures,
and applyng for more grants to save us & the world from ourselfs . :dontknow:

If you can Buy & sell fireworks on Ebay ? LOL Go for it.
Here you would need dozens of expensive Permits,
an expensive Education in explosives, an underground Bunker,
and a monthly (maybe weekly) inspection visit from homeland security to even own a Bottle rocket
legally.

LOL. You can only sell the empty packs on Ebay, they are worse than the state of Pa. when it comes to selling potentially explosive devices of any kind, not to mention the array of other banned items on there.

The old M80s were the equivalent to a 1/4 stick of dynamite or so I was told back then. The new ones are fake. We use to dig a hole in a red ant bed and bury an M80 in it, light the fuse and run. It would blow a hole in the ground about 8" deep and 5 or 6 inches wide. The reason you ran was not because of the explosion, but because it would rain red ants and you didn't want one down your collar! You could also fish with an M80. Tape it to a rock and toss in into a fishing hole and it would always bring up several nice perch or catfish. But now it is illegal to use explosives for bait! ;D We also blew up a few small to medium size stumps. Form a cone with duct tape and cardboard over one and set it off and it would act as a shape charge and blow all or part of the stump out. Oh well, those were days of yore. Monty

I just figured out a new way to get my targets out of the ground!
