    Silver Tea Service

A local thrift store has a silver tea service for sale for 195$. It has about 6 pieces including the tray. It feels heavy. It is marked 1881 Rodgers and Croton? Something like that on the bottom. Anyone familiar with this company? Real silver or plated? At the price of silver I think it would be worth it if it's real but I don't want to buy it and find out it's plated.Any info appreciated.

More likely then not it is plated however some plated is worth a ton of money.. I do not know which ones tho...

I just reread that they want 195.00?? no way ever would I pay that unless I see sterling or 925/1000 or 950/1000
