    Weekend COMMUNITY sale finds!

Heres some of my finds i got this weekend. heres the prices i payed on everything

    -Gateway desktop - $3.. sold for $25
-Handmade Glass jug with a whole in it =P - $.50
    -Mt. Dew bottle 1965 - $3
-Wooden alarm clock, FREE (was broken, i resoldered and its fixed now =]])
    -Genesis 3 -$3 (ironic eh?)
    -Car laser mouse -$1
-Silver PLATED spoons -$3 (mothers day gift)
-ALL of the silver bracelets from various vendors (all marked .925, even the sun shaped piece is .925) - $5
    -Silver .925 Bracelet -$4
-Shaffer pen and pencil set -$2.50
-1/20th 12K gold FILLED necklace, i used a technique here.... a guy had a box full of costume jewelry, spotted this instantly and so i didnt want to just ask aa price so i picked up the jostens 95' charm and asked if i could get BOTH for $1, and i said i really liked the charm worked like a charm, got gold for cheap!

I want some advice on the bracelet... it was .7 OZ total in silver, IF its solid? if it has .925 does that guarantee a solid silver item? it passed the magnet test.

Yes. I've never heard of a "weighted" piece of jewelry. The sterling was you best deal.
The term 1/20 12k means that your necklace is gold filled and the actual amount of gold by weight is 1/20 or .05 of the total weight of the item.

Diggumup is correct..it should be soild... I am posting to inform you that if you want to use OZ use the OZT ..percious metals are weighed most with troy ounces =ozt .. if u weigh with reg ounces your weight will be off some... I also noticed alot of people weigh in grams on ebay...

solid silver ( that they set the SPOT "MELT" VALUE PRICE WITH) is 99.9 % pure *999

    STERLING SILVER IS 92. 5 % PURE *925

SO TAKE THE TOTAL ACTUAL WEIGHT IN GRAMS THEN MULTIPLY IT BY X .925 --THIS WILL GIVE YOU YOUR ACTUAL GRAMS OF "PURE 999 SILVER" -- THERE IS 31.1034768 GRAMS PER TROY OZ-- THEER IS 12 TROY OZ TO THE POUND NOT THE REGULAR 16 OZ TO THE POUND LIKE FOOD STUFFS ARE WEIGHTED IN .

BASICALLY 1 TROY OZ IS EQUAL TO 1 1/3 REGULAR OZ'S -- 12 PER POUND VS 16 PER POUND.
