    perfect weekend!

    Saturday:
Worked my own table at a church flea market. People were hungry for deals and I fed them! I made about $175 between my stuff and my wife's stuff. Some of the stuff I sold was unbelievable (an Abalone shell, the original accessories to an iPhone 4, a busted and broken cheap pocket watch, etc). My best sales included my crusty broken Stanley SW level from last weekend's post sold for $9 (paid $2) and my cast iron Lodge wok from 2 weekend's ago sold for $20 (paid $2). My wife was equally as happy selling an old (but nice Canon) camera, a pair of binoculars, and some of her knitting.

    Sunday:
Went out early with hopes of finding even a few yard sales. Went out into a more established and wealthier area to try my luck. My goal was to replenish some of the tools and jewelry that I sold most of on Saturday. Scored huge on jewelry at the first sale buying 2 loose items and a bag filled with assorted jewelry. Paid $2 for it all. That netted me 21.3 grams of Sterling, 0.5 grams of 14K, a nice Timex ladies watch, and a nice Fossil F2 ladies watch!
Another yard sale I found the tools I was looking for. I "bundled" together all the best tools I could find plus an antique school desk for a cool 20 dollar bill. I know, I have been watching too much "American Pickers" with the bundling, but it works. The desk is really nice with cast iron legs and solid wood seat and desk top. The seat flips up. There is a patent stamped on the leg for 1924 but I do not know the actual age of the piece.

I attached some pics of a "plumb bob" I found in the tool box. Does anyone know anything about it? Is it old? Is it valuable? Unfortunately, there are no markings on it.

Here is a completed auction that looks similar to mine:

Does mine look like walnut? I know the tip of mine is brass or bronze.

Put another one in front or back. The back of the desk becomes the writing area.
