Re: Recent Sales
You've been doing really well ! I need to research those drafting/work bench lights more--we come across them all the time and I didn't realize they were worth so much. Thanks for showing your recent sales!!

Re: Recent Sales
Yeah I see them all the time too, but I don't see them with the table clamps very often.
With lamps in general keep your eyes out for the more colorful ones such as blue, red, yellow, or teal.
Also from what I have found, those drip glaze pottery lamps go for some good cash as you can see.
I am going to keep my eye out for a table clamp to use for photos, but sell them without the clamp and see how that goes.

Re: Recent Sales
I saw a drafting lamp this past weekend and thought I'd scored. Turned it over ...."made in China".

You've been doing pretty good on those lamps/lights. Your the reason I bought this one last weekend-

It's solid and has a heavy base. What do you think? Vintage Steampunk Mechanical desk lamp? or what?

Yeah made in China crap lol. My eyes get fooled every once in awhile when I see something but as soon as I picking it up and feel the weight I know its made in China.

I used RETRO MOD YELLOW PIXAR ADJUSTABLE WRITERS DESK LAMP for the link above.
I only use colors in a title if they are more unusual colors and I used PIXAR because it looks very similar to the lamp at the beginning of Pixar movies. I used RETRO mod because its a retro yellow.
Other keywords I have used in the past are READING WRITING MECHANICAL DRAFTING. It would be a stretch but you could also use swing arm since it does swivel at the base.
Oh yeah forgot to throw VTG in there too ( ebay treats VTG as the same as writing VINTAGE and it only uses 3 characters, just in case anyone didn't know. )

I was wondering where you've been hiding? Thanks for the update on some sales.
I delisted all my video games and will hold off until the winter, everyone seems to be doing other things.
Gotta love all you key listing words!

Yeah I have been doing more reading than writing lately.
I made out like a bandit on a video game lot last weekend so I have been delisting my single video games and I am building lots, and listing them as we speak. And I just got an offer of $70 on a video game lot I just listed 5 minutes ago. Going to have to counter offer.
I can't wait until the holiday season. Last year was insane.

Okay, then I guess $3 was okay to spend on it. It is an older one because the plug is non polarized. I'll have to go over it with a loupe, see if I can find some marks anywhere. I've got terrible eyes.

Re: Recent Sales
Seems for me I have been finding a lot of stuff that is "Made in India" lately (and not particularly old).

I just sold that video game lot I listed yesterday.
With this listing I was testing a new selling method I came up with which I am calling the "hook" method.
Can anyone tell me which of those games are the hooks?

Signed 1980s C. Jere metal wall sculpture
http://cgi.ebay.com/RURAL-COUNTRY-C-...#ht_1721wt_925
Paid: $12.00
I got this one at a thrift store that I know for a fact looks items up on ebay. They either missed the signature or didn't know how to read in between the lines of completed listings data.
