"Flea Man" T.V. Show
Has anyone seen this new show? I must admit, I wasn't impressed at all. The host is awkward and overestimates quite a bit. I don't really know what he brings to the show. It certainly doesn't make me want to sell at a flea market but I guess it motivates me a bit to want to buy cheap stuff and double the value on ebay.
Thoughts on the show?

I started watching it and got so bored I turned the TV. I was very disappointed to say the least.

Glad I'm not alone on my disappointment with the show.

Same here. I taped both episodes. Made it thru the first one, erased the second one, then reset my DVR not to tape the series. It sounded like a good concept for a show, but it just didn't work for me.

Actually, if you're interested in selling at flea markets, he has some decent advice. I loved the episode with the two guys who are in the trash out business, and were looking for a way to get rid of all the stuff they got paid to haul out of other people's homes. I'm in the same business, and I love it when I get paid twice-once when I haul the stuff away, and again when I sell it online or at the consignment store. Gonna take Flea Man's advice and try our local flea market with some of my more unusual finds.

For someone in your field, that seems to make sense. But if people are actually buying items from garage or estate sales, the flea market doesn't seem like a very good place to turn a profit. But if you're getting the stuff for free (or getting paid to haul it away), any amount you get for selling it is pure profit. Go for it!

I don't see this show going much farther either. I think it focused way to much on what NOT to do instead of how to do it better. I guess if you wanted to learn from their mistakes it's OK but for the most part those people selling their stuff were definitely not "people persons".
