Got a nice pair tonight!!

Went to a local auction today. They have an early bird auction and it was well attended.
Had to work at it but, pick-up a vintage pair of American made Klipsch Speakers, they have consecutive serial #'s.
Size: 16 1/2"x 13 1/3"x22 1/2
Should do well? Paid $45. Need to test and research more.
Any info. would be a help, thanks!

Holy crap $500 at LEAST for those!

Klipsch Heresey Oiled Walnut loudspeakers w/horn tweeters. Audiophile caliber. People use these w/tube amps and they sound great! I have actually heard a pair and they are really, really nice. I have always wanted a pair. You did really good man.

Found a pair of Sansui SP-X6000 speakers for $60 at the local thrift store just an hour ago. I passed on them until I can find out what they are worth. From some initial research it looks like there isnt much "meat on the bone" @ $60.

As an aside... Many years ago (1970's) I worked for a company called "Creative Engineering" who created and supplied the animatronic characters and shows to 200 Showbiz Pizza's around the US. Every restaurant had to purchase the exact same playback equipment so they all sounded the same. The setup included 4 Klipsch Heresey's. Somehow I don't think the kids appreciated it as much as we did.

With everything getting smaller and smaller, such as Ipods,etc. I've noticed allot of big stereo speakers going for really cheap prices at garage sales and Goodwill,I got 2 JBL tower speakers for $20 at a garage sale awhile back and the lady even through in a working turntable.

Nice find!! Saw a similar pair at a garage sale last Saturday for $300. You did very well!
