    Two silver candelabra

Got the pair for $10 at a goodwill, it's sterling weighted and reinforced, and the arms are magnetic. 5 1/2 by 10 inches, what can I expect in melt? By Reed and Barton and personalized

Does it say weighted or sterling? It looks plated to me.

Weighted - usually means the base is a thin skin of sterling - over a heavy resin material.

My guess is, these have almost an ounce of sterling per candelabra.... of course the arms are plated steel... for strength. With the current spot price of silver at $34.50 an ounce, I'd say... Great buy!

Thanks for the help, it is definitely sterling over plaster or resin, I was having trouble with guessing the melt, I'll probably tear them apart as soon as silver rebounds

My guess is about 1 toz each. Pealing the silver off the arms can be a chore though. There is no standard as to how thick the silver can be from one mfg to another. The best ones that I found the arms were thick silver tubes with no base metal liners. Since yours are magnetic, that would not be the case. Good luck. P

Personally, i'd list them on feebay with a buy it now price before I tore them apart. I don't think there's and ounce a piece in each one. There's some idiot that tried selling the same ones you have for $600.00, of course they didn't sell.
