Best place to purchase mailing supplies?

Well, I think I found my mini-nitch. Have been buying up lots of toddler/kids shoes really cheap at garage sales. Geez, who would have thought that one could make a profit (albeit meager)? For example, I bought a pair of Sketcher tennis shoes in new condition for 50 cents. I sold the on ebay for 7.50! A girls pair of new jeans for $1.00 and also sold those for $8.00. Still looking for that nice jewelry--but it has escaped me for now!

Anyone have any idea where the best place is to buy bubbled mailing envelopes in bulk for cheap? I am using more of the 8 1/2 x 11 and I know I am paying too much at Wally World for packages of 5 (around $4.50).

eBay is your friend for all mailing supplies!!!

Generally, I purchase the plastic (no tear) bubble envelopes in bulk (packages of 100 or more) and I get them for around $0.25/envelope for the larger sizes. The plastics are good because they are more flexible than the kraft paper envelopes.

Believe it or not........................keep an eye out for mailing envelopes and supplies at lawn sales. Have now bought them this yr at two different sales. Technically only one, as I got the lady to throw the bubble envelopes into a bulk deal for free on a Sunday morning, just before the rains came. LOL

eBay is your friend for all mailing supplies!!!

I agree with this. Whenever I have purchased them in the past, I buy them on ebay. I buy them 100 to 200 at a time. Poly Bubble Mailers is what I've used. The kraft ones I just don't trust at all.

Many times there are listings of mailers, bubble mailers, photo envelopes, etc for a fraction of what they originally sold for. I realize we are in different areas, but just last week, (and it is still listed) in the Kansas City area, 125 of the 12 x 8 1/2 bubble envelopes for $25.00. Check you area, you never know what they will list them under, so try searches for mailer, bubble, envelope, packing, shipping supplies, etc.

Good luck on your search for the almighty profit. The world still keeps score in dollars. You have them, or you don't.

That's actually not a better deal than what you can get on ebay. It's about 2 cents an envelope cheaper for the same size, but you have to count the cost of gas that it will take to drive to pick something like that up. Plus the cost of time spent.

And then add in 2% back through ebay bucks and another 2% back if you are using a PayPal Credit Card. Plus you have the ability to return it if you get pure junk. Plus you can let the money float and earn interest for a month before you pay your CC bill (the float on $20 isn't a lot, but if you do this with every purchase, it adds up over time). And the key, it gets dropped off at your door. You don't have to do any work to get it. And don't forget that if you also sell on ebay (which is the whole reason for buying these to begin with), it's one more feedback to make your score look better.

Now if those envelopes were priced at $10 and they were within a few miles, I would drive to pick them up. Otherwise, it's really not worth your time.
