Any wax residue? Can't tell size - are they the right size for tea light inserts or other candles? Wouldn't put off much heat. Just a thought.

Looks like bases for salt and pepper shakers,they would have been made out of glass ,just a guess

Thanks for the ideas! The opening with the slits is 1.75 inches. The base is 2". They are 1.75" tall. I'm thinking tea lights would fit in them...

Hey Turtle, there are 4 slots evenly spaced. I'm pretty sure they aren't card holders or napkin rings...... Definitely bases to hold something...maybe like mentioned already, S&P shakers--they would be large shakers though. ??

That's what I was thinking DD (in my original post). To hold smaller lamp/chimney. I don't know what the part would be called though....is there even a name for them? LOL!

How about paper cup holders :dontknow:

When I was a kid the local soda shoppe had metal holders for those cone-shaped paper ice cream cups

I found one of these at a flea market yesterday. It had a glass cup that sat inside of it, presumably for a candle. The one I found was NOT marked at all so I passed on it.
