Found lots of cool stuff this weekend

I got several good finds this weekend. The coolest is a lucite or acrylic fish sculpture that I went overboard on and paid $40 for. It's a nice piece and probably cost several hundred new. I will post it on a seperate thread because it takes many photos to show it and they still don't do it justice. Anyway I found an original Tele-Games Atari from Sears with 12 games in their boxes. Paid $10 for it at an estate sale. In the box was an extra surprise, a littlite LED gooseneck lamp with dimmer and transformer (forgot pic).

Now on to the garage sales-
I found this Arrow Coin Clock at a sale for .50. I gave the lady a dollar. I had no idea that it was rare and the last one sold for $225 new in sealed box on ebay.

Next was a 1940's Wyandotte dump truck. It has been restored but for $10 I think it was worth it.

At another sale I got a vintage Rayon state of Texas Pillow sham. These are always cool and sell for about $10 on Ebay, got it for $2, I found a vintage glass "Treasure Chest" bank (the kind you have to break open) that was a must have just because. And at the same sale I got a vintage chalkware hillbilly resting with his head on a pig holding a jug of cider. The bank and the chalkware were $3 for the both of them.

At the last sale I found a Rolls Royce "Grill" musical decanter and a large brass Lion's Head door knocker. Paid $8 for the both. Found the same door knocker in the completed listing that sold for $35. Haven't researched the Rolls Royce yet.

Thanks for looking and hope you found some good stuff too.

Neat finds...you did good. We only had a few yard sales in our area even though it was the first of the month. The hurricane did a number on everyone around here with some folks just getting power back on yesterday and a few still without.

There's always next weekend...which appears to be calling for rain with two storms approaching!

Those fish are fantastic, great find. Was difficult to find anything good this weekend. Hit an estate sale that started at 9... was a circus at 8:45 and found out that they let people in at 7. Did get a couple of Taxco bracelets at another sale on Friday.

Thanks. Taxco is always good too. I can't stand it when a sale is advertised to start at a certain time and they let people in a hour or more early. It's okay to show up early to get a good spot in line but, people should stick to their guns when it comes to starting times. Some of these savages down here actually go knocking on doors days early, the same day the sale is listed, to try and get a private presale viewing to buy things. God forbid if they list a phone number. I went to one a couple weekends ago (sounded real good), when we pulled up 20 minutes early, there was a big sign in the yard "Estate sale sold out," turns out someone bought the entire inventory of the house beforehand. The competition is getting tough.

Competition is tough...understatement of the year. Place was picked out by the time I got there. Tried to think outside the box and went with a pile of mint condition vintage clothes. Have no idea what I will do with em. I will get up at the wee hours to stand in line for a sale, but I think it's rude to go knocking before time and equally as rude to open doors early.

Yes, it always says too large I believe. Will try again this evening. I know somewhere on here someone posted some directions in a thread, but I can't remember which one. But, I will figure it out.
