From Switchblades to LLadros....update with a few prices realized

I found a diverse bunch of stuff this weekend, from switchblade knives to Lladro figures.
This first pic shows an assortment of goodies including 3 Zippo lighters and a Calibri Beam Sensor in the box. A vintage brass Chicago (the band) belt buckle, 2 small bottles of Chanel No.5, one small Genie shaped bottle of Lou Lou perfume, all full. Also pictured is a Swiss made Tissot Wood Watch (new), an unopened package of SX70 Time Zero film, another SX70 camera, a vintage Argus camera, The book of Runes by Ralph Blum with a bag of 25 runes, a Lladro cat and mouse figurine (close up pic at the bottom), a vintage Lucite Dorset-Rex purse and the knives i'll mention later-
update- the Chanel sold for $43, the sx-70 sold for $57.00

In the next photo is a vintage 1967 Lite-Brite game with all pieces including the template papers and instructions, a 1973 Parker Brothers game called The Honeybee Tree (complete), an RCA Digital to Analog converter in the box, another Ephrems old Time Bottle cutter kit (my 3rd or 4th this year),Allen Shermans The Rape of the APE: The Official History of the Sex Revolution 1945-1973 (Hardcover) 1st edition with dustjacket and the knives which i'll get to next.
update- the RCA Digital to Analog converter sold for $28.02

Now on to the knives, the first is a 1940's-50's celluloid blue marbled handle switchblade, the second is a Schrade Old Timer model 152, next is a Case knife with green marbled handle and black trim (doesn't have any identifying numbers or anything?, 4th is a stag handled Anton Wingen Jr "Othello", and last but not least is a Limited Edition Uncle Henry model 144 made by Scrade (saved the best for last) boxed.

UPDATE- Sold the Uncle Henry 144 for $77.00

From Switchblades to LLadros....update with a few prices realized-100_4668.jpg

the Lladro- update- sold for $59.00

From Switchblades to LLadros....update with a few prices realized-100_4669.jpg

The total for everything for the day was $55.00

I sold two pieces of gold jewelry too, a 6.71 gram 14k necklace($200.51) and a 5.83 gram 10k diamond heart tennis bracelet ($128.50) not bad considering what gold is doing at the moment

Nice finds and great pirce to pay. I never find lighters, even thought they are number 1 on my list to ask for.
Passed on a lite brite a couple of weeks ago...doh!

Guess the other side of Florida has better stuff than the panhandle.

Some weeks the pickins are slim to none. I wasn't sure about the Lite-Brite but for a couple bucks I figured I couldn't go wrong, and it was a nostalgia thing from when I was a kid. I found the lighters at the same sale as the Lladro, the Lite Brite, the perfumes, and the Runes. Got the bundle for $20. I did a property search on the address and found out the house was in the name of an "Estate", so I cross referenced that name with the local obits and found out it was someone who recently passed. It was listed as a garage sale not an estate so I got lucky.

Yeah it dates to '74, the others are '81 and the last looks like Letter A roman no. VI which would be Jan 0F '90, it's hard to read because the balck matte finish is thick and covers the id marks. Nothing special with them but a Zippo is a Zippo and always sellable. I remember as a kid my grandad's zippo he had from the ship he served on in Korea, my uncle still has it.

The Uncle Henry is mint and worth about $100! The others, not so much but still worth a couple bucks. How's that?

I really like that Lucite purse....There was a time when those things were commanding lots of $$$$. I have a book called "Handbags" By Judith Miller. It says: By the early 1950's, plastic had become ubiquitous in American homes. Meanwhile, innovative handbag manufacturers started using a tough plastic, trademarked Lucite, developed in the 1930's. For many women in the emerging middle classes, leather and fabric bags were too expensive; Lucite bags, though hand-made, were affordable and their novelty shapes fitted with post-war optimism. The major manufacturers were Myles Originals, Gilli Originals, Wilardy Originals, Llewellyn, Tyrolean, Dorset Rex, Charles Khan, Maxim, Majestic, Miami and Florida Handbags. When buying Lucite bags, condition is important; cracks or deterioration such as fogging will reduce value.
Thanks for showing your finds! Its always fun for me to see what others are getting at the sales!!

I don't see any markings, the blade is pretty dark. It's kinda rough because the blade is a little loose when extended. But it does lock closed easily and flip open with the push of a button.

Thanks. It was a pretty good weekend. The wife has several of this style of purse (among a hundred others!). This one is in great shape, just a little surface dirt from being stored for years. The mirror is in great shape too. I doubt she's gonna part with it since she's the one who "spotted" it. Just what she needs, another purse! LOL There was another cooler looking on there but it had a crack so we left it.

I don't have a store but I do sell. I'm waiting for work to slow down, then i'll be listing again. Yes it is a small pipeline for extra cash. Gives me the money to go out and find more stuff. It's a hobby that pays for itself and then some.

They are miniatures, the big one is 7ml. But now that I checked completed listings it does sell for $30. Nice. Thanks for bringing that to my attention.
