    Found gold

I've had a busy summer and have not had a lot of time to detect so Thurs. was going to be my day. Well it rained so I decided to take a trip to the Kansas Highway 36 treasure hunt. Bought some gold and sterling pins and rings for a couple dollars each, then found some glassware my wife collects at a super cheap price. Stopped a a nice small house to see what was there. Had a nice visit the the owner and just kept looking. Under a pile of broken necklaces I seen a coin pendant that looked real good. She said they were all broken pieces and the price was $2.00 each. I looked at the coin and thought that it looked real so bought a ring and the coin pendant for a grand total of $4.00. Got to the truck and looked real good and sure enough it was a gold Cinco Pesos. Cut the pendant pin and sure enough there was the edge printing. The Etrac stayed home but I found my gold treasure for the day.

    Re: Found gold

Well I live close to the border and something about the land of OZ just keeps pulling me there. The hardest part was I couldn't get any of my friends on the phone to tell them so I just had to hold the excitement in. That makes up for all the junk I've bought that didn't work

A gold coin for 2 bucks is enough to make any yard sale envious! Great find!
