Beautiful Ornate (Silver-Plated???) Mirror

Found this gem at a local South Jersey yard sale. The mirror is surprisingly heavy and in definite need of some TLC. It has a flowing woman on the back and is monogrammed with the initials A.M.M. in the center of the back side. I was originally going to sell it but now I'm thinking of keeping it. It has grown on me! Only paid $2 for it!!!

I bought one almost identical to yours at an estate sale last July. Looking in the mirror, if it's really old there will be tiny air bubbles in the glass. Then, look to the right and on the metal rim. If its silver, you'll see "Sterling" stamped there.

My wife really like that mirror, plus the estate sale was run by a local husband/wife company that knew the provenance of the family that had a major impact on the growth of our town. On the estate sale's last day, we went back because all things were half price, but even at that price and with the "Sterling" stamp, it was still $87.50. After we passed on that price then left, and my wife went to buy groceries, I sneaked back and bought it......I hid the mirror until my wife's birthday in early September...

It was worth the wait to see her eyes!!!

To keep from getting any moisture between the mirror and its backing, I just used a lightly damp cloth and wiped away the dust.... The rest is left in honor of History...

Thanks for the help! I've done a little research and I believe it was made by the Derby Silver Company sometime around 1900. Ok, after an exhaustive search on the mirror I finally found some faint markings.
It says:
"PAT APPLD FOR
Victor Silver CO
PAT July 26 1904

Victor Silver Co was a subsidiary of the Derby Silver Co.
It is definitely silver-plated.

On the handle on the right edge if you are holding it mirror side up.
