Coins and silver at the garage sales today

Today started out being a horrible day for sales around here, nothing but baby stuff and junk. I was deciding what to do with the rest of my day when I saw 2 signs for the same neighborhood so I headed that way. First one had nothing but crappy dollar items so I left quickly, the second said christmas stuff only so I was hoping for vintage xmas decor. Once I stopped I saw alot of newer in box items but inside the garage I spotted a treasure trove of sports memorabilia and intermixed in them was coins in 2x2s. I asked the lady about them but she said i would have to come back and talk to her husband. I then started asking her about her souvenier spoons for sale and found 5 sterling ones in the whole bunch that I paid a dollar a piece for. I came back a little later and was there to greet her husband about the coins. He said they are priced as marked and if not he was going by the 2010 price guide. I got 6 morgans/peace and a silver quarter for $106.

    Total paid $111
    $58 worth of silver spoons
$156 worth of silver coins at melt

You made out like a bandit on the sterling spoons even if silver did drop. I may would have hesitated on the coins but I think you did ok since silver is only going to keep it's value. Even right now, your coins are valued at a little over $149 so no money lost!
