    Is this silver???

Odds and Ends type day. Here is an interesting piece that I'm wondering if it's actually silver with a bronze coating. Any opinions or has any one seen one before?

Joseph Heinrich began his own business c. 1897 (until c.1925).
He produced items of copper with silver accents for most of the major retailers. Most of his work would only bear the retailer's marks. Silver soldered means silver plate.

Thanks Chug... since it says Sterling I'm wondering if the skillet is silver with just a coating or if it bronze with a coating of silver on the inside. Weighs in at almost 8 ounces

It is lined with sterling. He used thin sheets of Sterling and applied them to the interiors of many of his copper and bronze pieces. It's still a nice piece from the Arts & Crafts era. Worth more than scrap value.
