Silver and Gold... Isn't that a song?

Well I've been hitting the yard sales we live in a small town so if there are 3 to 5 that is about average... so in the last two weekends we got some goodies... I say we because I think my wife has got the treasure hunting bug but only from yard sales... we got some silver and gold... she got here a nice little bracelet and I got the silver ring and the other necklace... the Baby Moon rattle and spoon is mine and I didn't want the bowl but the lady said it came with it... its not silver but it is a baby christening cup which is neat and might sell for a few bucks since it $109 new.

Now get this... we got the gold form a yard sale that we almost didn't make... we didn't know it was there and it was the last one of the day... either no one is looking in our are or there was lots more there and they (who ever they are) missed it... I know I can't be the only one looking for silver and gold at yard sales... anyways to continue... I was looking at the jewelery and the lady asks do you want me to get a magnifying glass for you? so I said SURE! she even told us some of the stuff the was the good stuff sure enough one bracelet and one necklace both 14k and the sterling silver ring.

    Gold 2.2 grams 14k
Silver ring 1.6 grams black onyx stone... it is very very small.

the rattle is from Tiffany and is 33.2 grams and the spoon is 22.2 grams

    Happy Hunting

Absolutely awesome score. Im sure you paid very little for some amazing items. Not trying to burst your bubble at all but the skeptic in me says check those chains with acid test kit, just in case...

oh I understand the skepticism... I have found a .925 ring that sticks to magnets... so yeah just because they say 14k... they may not be gold! :-(

I'll have to go pick up a testing kit soon.
