Kinkade Prints/Plates - How much could I get?

I've seen some posts in the past of somebody picking up a Thomas Kinkade print at a good price, and flipping it on eBay, so hopefully this will generate some opinions....

I have a chance to pick some prints and plates at a garage sale coming up this weekend. (We haven't talked price.) But I'm not familiar with Kinkade's works. I looked up one of the titles on eBay, and it seemed to barely be selling - and those that sold went for either $10 ... or $500. Obviously I'm more interested in picking these up if I can get a handsome price, and I'm uninterested if they won't sell or only sell for a few bucks.

Anybody have any opinions on these? If I go and check them out, is there something I should be looking for that will make them salable?

Re: Kinkade Prints/Plates - How much could I get?

I don't know a lot about him but i know his puzzles are hard to sell. I think I have sold 3 out of 5 puzzles of his art and a book about his work would not sell.

What I do know is that with art prints they sell a lot better if they are signed and numbered. Myself I would stay away from all of those. You can tell they were probably put together by the thousands as collectibles. Those are not hand cut mats made for one print, they are production made. A real art print will not have a printed matt with the name of the piece.
