Went to a Garage sale This week-end and looked around,, say a box of Baseball cards,, looked cool .. and comming from Denmark this was intresting for me,, i asked the Man running the Garage sale what he wanted for the cards, he said it was his Ex-Wifes now adult sons and he moved 5 years ago and now he dident want to hold on to them any more,, he said i could get the box for 5$ i said Top and gave him the money,
When i came home i looked over the cards ,, some was nicer than others, about 70 of them i threw out had been exposed to Soda and was sticking together and was ruiend, the last 350 cards was in very good shape. my Brother inlaw came over and looked them over, after have looked on about half of them he allmost fell down the chair. i asked what was wrong and he told me i had a card that was rare a Mark McGwire From 1984 He told me the price on those was around 700$ , he told me he could get me a buyer if i wanted ,,, it took me about 2 sec to say Yes. now 3 days later i have 650$ and a happy new friend with a cool baseball card.
I stopped buying baseball cards because there was so many new ones that came out, I just didn't know which to get anymore.. So pieces of jerseys and bats are in the card pack now? Pretty wild..
Looks like the card you displayed has an autograph on it, the one from the amazon link does not. Really hard to tell on the one form amazon.
"Imagine you can only know one thing in the world," he says, "and that one thing is that you don't know anything." Quoted by my son to the National Geographic. This is how he realized he had a brain injury from an IED while serving in IRAQ.
I always love finding Baseball cards at yard sales! One time I found a fellow who had two huge boxes for only $10. Must have been around 5000 there. When I was going through them later, I hit a total of 10 Barry Bonds rookie cards Ive seemed to have very good luck with baseball cards!
