    sterling carving fork

I don't know what to do with this sterling handled meat carving fork...

The handle is marked sterling and it passed the acid test. The top fork part is bulky and a magnet sticks to it.

The entire piece weighs 150 grams but I am not sure just how much of that is actual sterling. Is there plaster/weighted material in the handle?

Scrap it or try to sell it whole? It is in lousy condition and it is monogrammed and it has no maker's mark.

With the bad condition and no makers mark, I agree.

So, break off the top part and "skin it" of the sterling?
