Mr Yuuup must be hurtin for business.
Mr Yuuup, Dave Hester himself must be hurtin for business. A friends wife went to a local swapmeet yeaterday and Hester had 2-3 spaces selling his junk. He also had some space selling his YUUUP hats and shirts.
Most of his stuff looked like yardsale (or storage locker) rejects.

If you buy a lot of these you must get buried with junk.
He is just playing a part on the show, I bet.
As a hobby buying lockers would be fun, as a business. Too uncertain.

Hey, Dan.....................hope all is well. Not sure how others feel, but if Hester is hurting, I can't think of a nicer guy to have it happen to. I guess the show needs a bad guy and he seems to be an arrogant natural at it. Good luck at all the GS's.... I am a few months away from my next one.

Re: Mr Yuuup must be hurtin for business.
While I don't like Dave to begin with, I'm also keen to the fact that it's TV and like someone said before, he seems to fit a part that plays well in that environment. If everyone got along and there was absolutely no drama, then they wouldn't have much of a show.
Dave Trademarked his "YUUUP" brand because he's smart enough to know that his small 15 minutes of fame and celebrity will eventually come to an end. Why not profit as much as one can? It's not much different for Jarrod with is partnership in "Outlaw Apparel" line. He's always wearing the t-shirts on the show or on their Facebook page photos.... so what's wrong with pumping their own little piece of the American Dream? I say Kudos... but that's just my opinion.

I don't have any kind of Japanese Tv over here since I wouldn't be able to understand it anyway.... so I keep my Fios Tv and internet running at my house in Texas. That way I can broadcast my normal tv stations across the internet and watch them over here in Japan. It's nice to watch the shows I'm used to, but the 15 hour time difference does tend to get in the way at times. I'm usually stuck with a lot of infomercials.

Re: Mr Yuuup must be hurtin for business.
I know that Hester's role on the show is probably just acting...but I cannot stand the guy.
I attend about 2 auctions a week, on average, and I know a couple of guys that run people just for the sake of costing them money.
Once you get 'run up' a few times by someone like Hester, you will never forget it.
Hester is so revolting to me that I don't even like watching the show.

Last I heard, he hadn't re-signed with the show, because he didn't like the contract they were trying to give him. I also know that there is a SW game app on FB, and it has everyone but him in it.

THE longer this show is on the less i believe. there is wayyyyy tooo muchhhh.
of this desk is a good 200 and that chair at least 50 and this luggage 100
when half the stuff is junk. like pawn stars and the other so called
reality shows. i believe at first they were true finds and pawns.
when the shows became wildly popular, big money became the motivator
to add even rarer and more valuable into the script.
thus today these shows are fake finds from a collection.
as the audience became accustomed to med valu finds.
igher valu finds were required to maintain viewership
SPINNER VALUE KEY: RED is METAL DETECT.LT BLUE is AUCTION. DARK BLUE is GOLD MINING.GREEN is THRIFT STORE.YELLOW is GEM GRUBBIN.PINK is COIN ROLL HUNT.BROWN is BEACH AND SHALLOW WATER HUNT.ORANGE JUNK PICK AND OR METAL SCRAPPING
